AAMP Award Winners
Sharpest Knife in North America
The Sharpest Knife in North America Award was established to recognize an AAMP member's skill of sharpening a knife. The event is held annually at the AAMP booth in the supplier trade show. After an entry fee is paid, the member will receive a purposely-dulled knife and be given three minutes to sharpen the blade. The knife will be judged on the angle of the blade, smoothness, sharpness, etc. Half of the money received for the contest is donated to the AAMP Meat Industry Scholarship.
