U.S. Meat Industry

Tour to IFFA

2007

May 3 - 13, 2007

Every three years, the American Association of Meat Processors and other U.S. meat associations co-sponsor an educational visit to the world's largest meat trade fair, the IFFA, in Frankfurt, Germany.

IFFA has been the world's leading trade fair for the meat industry for over 50 years. The IFFA expects hundreds of exhibitors presenting a range of products that cover the entire meat-processing chain from harvesting, fabrication and processing to packaging and sales. The fair is aimed at the meat-processing industry and in recent times, increasingly at the food-processing industry.   57,538 visitors came to IFFA 2004 to discover the latest trends and products, exchange ideas and maintain business contacts.

The IFFA fair is followed by professional visits to meat processing plants and meat equipment production facilities in Germany, Austria, and Italy. Learn how the European industry has survived its turbulent years and gather ideas from the plants and shops of the trade. It is a learning experience that is hard to duplicate.

A variety of meat industry tours are currently scheduled, with more to come.  For more information on the meat industry tours, Click Here.
