To Delay Enhanced Feed Ban Rule
The Food
and Drug Administration will extend by 60 days the April
27 effective date of the agency's enhanced ban on high-risk
cattle material in feed for all animals, according to
industry sources. -

Secretary Tom Vilsack Announces Final Rule for Handling
of Non-Ambulatory Cattle
The
Final Rule will amend the federal meat inspection regulations
to require a complete ban on the slaughter of cattle that
become non-ambulatory disabled after passing initial inspection
by FSIS. -

a free DVD and companion booklet titled, "Humane Handling

very small establishments avoid the pitfalls of noncompliance.
