USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service has reopened the comment
period for 60 days for the proposed rule for mandatory country-of-origin
labeling for beef, lamb and pork.
AMS will accept comments on any topic related the proposal.
Comments on the rule, published in the Federal Register
on Oct. 30, 2003 (68 Fed. Reg. 61944), must be submitted
by Aug. 20, 2007.
