Australia. This was a 39 percent increase over last year

of the largest beef-exporting countries and closely monitors
competitors.

22 and 27 percent, respectively, compared to the same period
last year.
The
United States remained the major destination for Uruguayan
beef shipments during May, accounting for 76 percent of
Uruguayan beef exports, with the majority of the 19,800
metric tons of frozen product (18,400 tons). During the
five months to May, exports to the United States accounted
for 74 percent of exports, totaling 88,500 metric tons.
