Bush Vetoes Farm Bill, Override Expected Soon

As expected, President Bush formally vetoed the 2007 farm bill today.

Both houses of Congress passed the bill at margins above the two-thirds majority needed to override the president's veto and are expected to do so by Friday, which is when current farm legislation expires. The vote could come as early as today.
