Docket No. AMS–LS–07–0131; LS–07–16:  United States Standards for Livestock and Meat Marketing Claims, Naturally Raised Claim for Livestock and the Meat and Meat Products Derived From Such Livestock

The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking comments on a proposed voluntary standard for a naturally raised marketing claim.

Comments must be received on or before January 28, 2008.

 

Docket No. AMS-LS-06-0081; LS-04-04:  Mandatory Country of Origin Labeling of Beef, Lamb, Pork, Perishable Agricultural Commodities, and Peanuts

The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is reopening the comment period for 60 days for the proposed rule for mandatory country of origin labeling (COOL) for beef, lamb,pork, perishable agricultural commodities, and peanuts that was published in the Federal Register on October 30, 2003.

Comments must be received on or before August 20, 2007.

 

Risk-Based Inspection System Comments

FSIS continues to solicit comments on its proposed Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) system.  All of the information from the Agency regarding RBI is posted on the FSIS website, which can be accessed through the link above.
