New Funding Opportunity - Risk Management Education for Meat and Poultry Processing

The North Central Extension Risk Management Education Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln announces a funding opportunity to provide education and training for meat and poultry producers, processors, and distributors.
The North Central Extension Risk Management Education Center, https://ncerme.org, is pleased to announce a new competitive funding opportunity for the North Central region for the Meat & Poultry Processing Industry.This funding opportunity is part of a national effort for educational projects designed to help workers and producers in the meat and poultry processing sector across the farm, processing and distribution levels to manage risk and enhance their performance and viability for the North Central region. Projects shall provide education and training for meat and poultry producers, processors, and distributors, which in turn will enable small-to-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to make sound risk management decisions.

All applications are due by 5 PM, CST, Thursday, January 26, 2023, for the North Central region.
Funding/Awards: Proposed projects shall not exceed $150,000 and shall have a 2-year (24 months) period of performance from June 2023 through May 2025.
Eligibility: This announcement seeks applications from qualified public and private groups, organizations, and institutions including educational institutions, farm organizations, meat and poultry organizations, lenders, consultants, and other risk management education providers with a demonstrated capacity to develop and deliver outcome-based risk management education programs. The North Central Center serves Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
