Field to Freezer provides a comprehensive database of wild game and domestic/custom- exempt processors for customers via the patent-pending web app, and a streamlined ordering and fulfillment process for meat processors. The app can be accessed through participating processors through their website at: https://fieldtofreezer.com/
The Milwaukee startup, which last year launched the MVP version of its platform, previously allowed customers to use a web browser to search for nearby meat processors offering their desired services.
Now, customers can also use Field to Freezer’s app to order their cuts and quantities of meat, with a patent-pending slider scale system to help hunters determine how much of each product they can get from their animal. And the startup will partner with processors to offer an Express Line, so hunters can order online and drop the animal off in minutes.
Field to Freezer helps processors handle their orders more efficiently and get the word out to potential customers. With the platform, processors will also be able to let past customers know about new deals and products.
The platform is now onboarding meat processors who would like to integrate ordering with their online profile to offer added convenience for customers and set themselves apart from competitors.
In addition to these capabilities, Field to Freezer next plans to introduce features to connect small harvest and artisan farmers and ranchers with meat processors to make their animals available to consumers.
