Job requires learning to skin and eviscerate animals in a meat processing plant located east of Livingston, MT. Job requires skills to know or learn HACCP plan, how to adhere to FSIS sanitary practices, the anatomy of all domestic animals processed at the facility, skinning technique, Jarvis carcass splitter, tracking system, knife handling and sharpening, know all areas of the evisceration of animals using proper devices to prevent contamination. Applicants must also have capable hand-eye coordination; spatial awareness; quickness on his/her feet; be able to lift 60 lbs; lift overhead; grab; push; pull; stand for long periods of time; willingness to be exposed to blood, loud noises, OFFAL, and fecal matter daily; ability to work in wet, cold, and humid environments; and have manual dexterity. Attention to detail, being task-oriented, self-motivated, a strong communicator and listener, a team-player are all skills needed to succeed in this working environment. Cross-training will be provided for other areas of the facility. Experience preferred but not required.
