By Rick Reams, AAMP President
Belonging to an association like AAMP has never been more essential than during the current climate within the world and our industry. Belonging to an organization that works hard every day to provide members with the tools and information to run a thriving business has become a key element in the success of my company, and perhaps yours as well.
The AAMP staff continues to work diligently to provide up-to-date information on regulations, processing support, COVID-19 assistance, and other business-related issues along with representing the membership before Washington on important governing matters. The cost of doing business increases for us as processors and suppliers every year; the same is true for AAMP. An added workload due to a steadily growing membership creates a necessity for more staff, along with an increase in other expenses.
The last membership dues increase for AAMP was in 2012. A lot has changed since then in our businesses, as well for the association. Current expenses have become higher than our income, so the AAMP Board of Directors has voted to increase dues rates beginning in 2021 for processors. Dues for suppliers will increase in 2022 as 2021 rate information was already sent out with convention applications this year.
Below are the changes to the new dues rates.
Annual Business Revenue / Dues
Processors (Increase will take effect in 2021.)
$2 million or less – $350.00
$2-5 million – $750.00
$5 million or more – $900.00
Suppliers (Increase will take effect in 2022.)
Thank you for your continued membership and support of AAMP. I am sure we can all agree on how important it is to maintain a financially healthy association so that it can continue to provide the needed support for each of our businesses for years to come.
